Bureau of Fire Prevention Documents/Forms

FDNY inspects and regulates the installation of equipment such as range hoods, refrigeration systems, fire suppression systems, and other equipment that either poses a fire hazard or is required by the City Administrative code to prevent fires.

Consult with the Department of Buildings, the Fire Department and/or your Registered Architect/Licensed Engineer or other certified professional equipment supplier/installer regarding code and inspection requirements for the type of equipment that you are having installed. Failure to do so may result in fines, closure of your business, or a refusal of the Department of Buildings to issue or amend permits and certifications required for the operation of your business.
