Had a puncture at home. Because I'm old and infirm, can't bend, and semi-shielding, called AA. Job done promptly by a very pleasant young man. Gave some good advice about protecting the battery. Very efficient, very pleased.

Aug 20, 2020The mechanic was very helpful. He put immense effort into his desire to make a roadside repair.
Once he'd established it needed to be in a garage. He displayed a calm determination ringing several garages before arranging one that could effect the repair in the next 2 days as I was 400 miles from home.

I continued my journey and broke down again, the AA sent a technician to diagnose and then arranged recovery for us. The AA driver was helpful, polite and friendly all the way even given the current situation with covid 19.

Aug 20, 20208 and a half hours to be recovered ! Three hours before somebody came out to confirm exactly what I had said was the breakdown and being told at 2-30am that " we cannot find anybody to recover you' when sat at the side of the road with no cover, drinks or facilities (vespa Scooter breakdown) was not amusing

Aug 20, 2020Fantastic service ! Still can't quite believe how fast the breakdown was dealt with. " Shane" arrived earlier than estimated, diagnosed the problem (starter motor ) , replaced the part ,at a very good price, and I was back on the road within an hour of calling !

Aug 20, 2020Dave was knowledgeable, talked me through everything for the towing home, took me to the garage and sorted my 3 day hire car out, just wish I had a paid hire car for longer as it cost me an extra 830.00 for another 9 days car hire plus insurance cover and deposits and extra cover, 1 night off work unpaid as no car and i was paying my insurance as well but the general AA experience was good

He was right and I needed a new battery. It was all done quickly, courteously and within the current guidelines. Excellent service.

Aug 20, 2020I am a woman on my own when my car would not start. I used the app and it is great. The AA van arrived and he did all the diagnostic checks. He was excellent. I have considered cutting down costs but it was well worth the fee to get fixed and on my way again. App is great and AA mechanic definitely knew his job. Well done.

Aug 20, 2020Vehicle broke down at 04.00 on deserted rural road when returning from local A & E dept. with 2 women as only occupants. Initial response from call centre very unhelpful/disappointing and unnecessarily stress provoking. Only a 2nd call taken by a different call handler produced a more sympathetic/helpful and appropriate response which reflected the potential vulnerability of occupants.
